F-Secure the pre installed trial f-secure had expired so i paid for and downloaded avg, as soon as i hit the finish intsall key pc started making weird noises & screen went blank, i’m new to computing so it took me a few hours to restore nearly all i had lost.upon rebooting and reinstalling talk talk i found i had another 3 mths free f-secure . i am now very wary of trying to install avg again. what did i do wrong? any ideas please.

You haven’t mentioned if you had uninstalled trial version of f-secure before installing avg. Two antivirus program running at the same time may clash with each other. Also you can use ccleaner to remove unwanted files, system junk etc.

woops…f-secure hates avg,remove f-secure then try AVG..2 antiviruses aint do no good to ur PC…

There might be a conflicted with AVG and f-secure. I guess f-secure is a firewall software?
You can try Sygate firewall, download it for free – http://www.simtel.net/product.download.mirrors.php?id=53687.
I am using AVG with Sygate and works well.
However, AVG will not be offering any more FREE version by Jan’07.
