I have been battling with a piece of Spyware for the last few days. It’s strange because when I try to search on Yahoo, it will redirect the results to an ad page, but it will not do it on google. Just Yahoo. Plus it throws the random pop up in an extra tab.
I have tried to find it but can’t find it. I’ve used the following:
MalwareBytes
SuperAntiSpyware
Spyware Terminator
Avast Free
Advanced System Care
IObit Security
I’ve also used two rootkit programs F-Secure Blacklight and Rootkit Buster.
Nothing can find it. System Restore doesn’t go back far enough before I got this spyware.
The closest I’ve come to seeing it was running a boot time scan with Avast. There was a Trojan that wouldn’t be deleted, repaired or moved to chest as it said the access flags don’t match. I tried running boottime again to see if I could get the name, but now it won’t show up.
Any ideas?
